Youth Job Center

Youth Job Center (YJC) is a youth workforce development organization that equips young people ages 14–25 with a plan, a path, and a placement toward economic independence. For 43 years, YJC has walked alongside young people as they navigate the journey from uncertainty to career confidence through early career exposure, workforce training, and individualized coaching. YJC focuses on immediate job placement and career pathway training to meet the needs of both in-school and out-of-school youth. All young people, especially those facing the greatest barriers, are equipped with the support, skills, and connections they need to access, succeed in, and advance within living-wage careers.

YJC delivers services through three core programs: a High School Program offering early career exploration and post-secondary planning, a Core Placement Program providing a structured path to immediate employment, and a Career Pathways Program guiding youth through sector-specific training and certification in fields like healthcare, information technology, culinary arts, and the skilled trades. By meeting young people where they are and walking alongside them from first exposure to a career, YJC ensures that all youth, especially those facing the greatest barriers, are equipped with the support, skills, and connections they need to access and advance within living-wage careers.
