Epic Academy

Epic Academy is an innovative charter high school that opened its campus on the south side of Chicago in 2009. Epic has a shared commitment to pursue excellence and high expectations for postsecondary success, working towards college and career readiness through a variety of pathways.

Currently, we serve more than 540 students in grades 9-12, all of whom are low-income and minority (African-American and Latin). Despite the challenges our students face, last school year 100% of them were accepted to college and 81% enrolled in college upon graduation. Over the next 3-5 years, Epic Academy aspires to continue our support for high-need students in grades 9-12 by replacing our existing facility with a new campus in South Chicago and opening a second school on the south side in the near future. Through our unprecedented work, Epic will serve as a replicable model and national proof point for student-led college and career exploration and preparation.
