ATLAS Fellows
ATLAS Fellows (“ATLAS”) transforms the finance sector by opening doors for brilliant and under-resourced young people to access life changing careers. All students should be able to pursue careers in finance regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation or family background. Yet breaking into this competitive industry often requires industry knowledge and experience, professional networks, and confidence. If a student does not have access to the necessary resources or social capital, it is challenging—if not impossible—to pursue a professional path in finance.
ATLAS is focused on identifying talent at an early entry point and developing young people for a career in financial services. ATLAS recruits under-resourced high school students from Chicago and provides them with four years of robust financial, academic and professional support through ATLAS’s four “ships”:
- Scholarship: up to $20,000/year in financial aid (fully funded by ATLAS’s anchor donor)
- Internship: four years of access to opportunities for summer internships at prestigious financial institutions
- Mentorship: access to the knowledge, guidance, and networks of talented, experienced, and committed professionals
- Membership: induction into a close-knit, support community of current ATLAS Fellows and future Alumni
By making careers in the financial industry accessible to talented young adults from a variety of diverse and under-resourced backgrounds, ATLAS is changing the face of finance.
