CMSA is Where Excellence Thrives. Since 2004, our mission has been to prepare students for college and beyond by offering a rigorous curriculum focused on science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). CMSA is committed to exciting students about science and technology through Project Lead The Way (PLTW) classes and robotics programming. Our efforts have resulted in multiple awards at the city, state, and national level. CMSA has achieved a Level 1+ rating four years in a row from Chicago Public Schools. This is the highest quality rating given by Chicago Public Schools. We are also ranked as the top public charter school in Illinois by U.S. News & World Report three years in a row. CMSA serves 600 students in grades 6-12, 95% of which live in Rogers Park. We are open to all students in Chicago and have a random lottery student admission selection process to ensure equal access.
