KIPP Ascend Charter School

Founded in 2003, KIPP Ascend is part of the Knowledge Is Power Program (KIPP) offering a free, high-quality public education to 420 students in grades 5 through 8 and kindergarten from the Austin, West Garfield Park, and North Lawndale neighborhoods on Chicago’s West Side. Our mission is to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and character traits necessary to succeed in top-quality high schools, universities, and have a positive impact on their communities. Our Results: 100% of our alumni were accepted into college-preparatory high schools.
