Perspectives Charter Schools
Perspectives was founded by two Chicago public school teachers in 1997 and was one of the first five charters in the state of Illinois. At all of our schools, the A Disciplined Life Education Model pairs a rigorous college-prep curriculum with social emotional learning based on the 26 ethical principles of A Disciplined Life. These principles, divided into categories of self-perception, relationships, and productivity, provide the backbone for everything we do at Perspectives. From the classroom to the playground, from the front office to staff meetings—A Disciplined Life is our common language and practice. The result is students who develop positive self-perception, are in healthy relationships, and are equipped with the tools for productivity. 100% of Perspectives graduates are accepted to college and over 90% participate in an after school program. They persist in college at a rate above the national average and alumni become ethical leaders in education, medicine, engineering and more.
