
Brett Barakett is the Founder, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of Tremblant Capital, a global alternative asset management firm focused on public equity investments, and the Chief Investment Officer of the NYSE-listed Tremblant Global ETF (TOGA). In these roles, he oversees the firm’s entire investment process, spanning asset allocation, portfolio construction, and risk management. Since its inception in 2001, Tremblant has frequently appeared in rankings of the top 100 best performing and largest hedge funds.
Mr. Barakett’s background, first as an operating manager and then as an investment manager, played a critical role in shaping Tremblant’s investment approach and process. Prior to founding Tremblant, Mr. Barakett was a Portfolio Manager at Moore Capital Management, an Equity Analyst at Salomon Brothers, a Global Director at Reebok International, and a Brand Manager at Procter & Gamble.
Mr. Barakett currently serves on the Advisory Board of the Ivey Business School at Western University, where he earned an undergraduate HBA (Honors Business Administration), and on the Board of Dean’s Advisors of the Harvard Business School, where he received his MBA. He has also served as a Trustee of Greenwich Academy and has been a hockey coach in his community.
The Brett and Meaghan Barakett Foundation focuses on education and academic scholarship to honor those who helped fund Mr. Barakett’s own education. Mr. & Mrs. Barakett live with their six children in Palm Beach, Florida.
