Chris is co-head of the Chicago office and Midwest Region as well as head of Wealth Management Services in the Investment Banking Division. Prior to assuming his current role, he was the Midwest Region head for Private Wealth Management. Previously, Chris was global chief operating officer of the Third Party Distribution business in Asset Management in New York. He held additional roles as global head of the Markets Solutions Group within PWM and head of Asset Management for North Asia Pacific, where he was responsible for the business in Japan, China and Korea.
Earlier in his career, Chris was senior advisor to the chairman of Beijing Gao Hua Securities Company Limited, where he was responsible for the development of the firm’s securities and asset management businesses within mainland China. Before moving to Asia Pacific, he was head of the European Global Institutional and European Merchandising teams in London. Chris joined Goldman Sachs in 1999 as an equity sales trader in Chicago and was named managing director in 2004 and partner in 2010.
Chris serves on the Board of Directors for A Better Chicago, The Chicago Council on Global Affairs, The Art Institute of Chicago Board of Trustees and Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.
Chris earned a BA in General Studies from the University of Michigan in 1994 and an MBA in Finance and International Business from The University of Chicago in 1998.
